Juniperus procumbens nana urban yamadori
« on: April 25, 2010, 01:22 PM »
Collected this afternoon, with a virtually intact root ball (only two anchor roots severed).

The culture box is a pallet with 1ft walls screwed to it, the root ball fills about 2/3 of the box. The tree was partially covered by the foliage of a chamaecyparis, which explains the lack of foliage on one side. The good news is that the tree is already backbudding there.

The plan is to gradually change the planting angle at the next repots to turn it into a cascade with ten-jin.
