I'm sure some would feel that it would ruin what this tree already has going for it, but this one seems to be slanting for the sake of slanting. Even as it is, I can't really understand the decision to remove all branching from the right side of the trunk.
I don't know that I would agree, Wayne. In the first place, this looks to me to be a pretty good use of material with no limbs on one side. I don't see scars or jins where good branching was removed, only one jin way up at the top, and it may be moving to the back rather than the right.
While I believe this might also make an excellent literati tree, I like it as it is.
Mike, this is one of my favorites of your trees.
