Hollywood juniper from nursery stock

Please comment. Good or bad. This will be going into a training pot tomorrow.

Its hard to expect that result from where you started, ...but only because its hard to see very much of the starting material's "bones".  What you're left with has some interesting curves.  I'll be interested to follow this one's development.

Hi.... you are probably better at this than I...but.... I wonder if you are progressing to quickly for the tree's heath. After all that trimming, might it have been better to wait a year? Again you probably know best.....

Jay. I would not go so far as to say I am better. But I have had good responses from hard pruning juniper nursery stock in spring here in Northwestern Missouri. Especially this year as the nights are still dropping into the lower 40's and not getting much above 70 during the day still. I would not try this on pines or deciduous trees here though.

I'm glad to hear you have had good results with such drastic work. I will look forward to seeing this tree in future years....
