Holly root cutting
« on: January 31, 2015, 04:46 PM »
I cut a few roots on what I think is a East Palatka Holly. I wanted to see if the tree would grow suckers at the cut . And it did. Which I thought was pretty cool. I dug it up today after work.

It has deadwood on it. I've been noticing some kind of burrowing critters on my property . They ate one my Avacado seedlings whole roots structure the tree fell in the burrow I noticed it tilted I pulled it and it came out of the ground  like nothing . It was just a  stem At the base. They are also in my wallapini. I havent seen them yet but when I go in they scatter. So I think one of those critters nibbled on the Holly root. Can anyone Id it. I will take pics of Mature leaves from the mother tree.
