Well done. Be very careful when potting up. Can be finicky .

The Himlock  has had all native soil and organic mix removed over a series of repotting. Two springs ago it was used by me at a club meeting to demonstrate the final removal of the last half of old soil. It also was put into the current pot then.  It has always responded so fast that roots push the tree out of the pot. This year the root growth has slowed so i will not be repotting it this spring  Soil mix is Pumice, akadama and lava. Screened orchid moss on the surface.

Very nice  ;D.  Looking at the 2D image (hemlock after), it seems that the rear branch emerging from the back of the second major curve could be pulled more to the left.  The negative space there is nice, but makes that branch appear young and straight.  On the same "level" of the tree but on the smaller trunk, there are a few branches that also have some exposed section of branches that make them look young.  Bonsai never look as good in photos.  Really like the material and updated design.

Thanks Owen, i'll take a look at it next time I have it. (Sunday) Pictures could be good to freeze your eye to pick up on points like this that were overlooked while taking it all in (3-D). The client  was happy to have the tree shown. I would not have shown it yet, as it had just been wired, and is still thin from the week state it was in a few years ago. The NW has a lot of beautiful Hemlocks.
