American Larch Forest
« on: April 27, 2014, 07:55 PM »
I acquired this tree just over one year ago and tried to make some improvements. Mainly, to create some harmony and dynamism in the trunks and improve the container. I had to work within the constraints of the original planting, which has some issues. i.e. too much similarity between the trunks. The farthest trunk on the right almost got ripped out but I think I will think about that some more, or ask Owen R. when he heads up north in a couple of weeks.

I think the subtle difference in sizes is naturally convincing. I really enjoy this composition, the slab is great.

Though that subtle difference may prove hard to maintain, but I do not know larches.

Nice. Very nice.

Nice transformation. Subtle, but important.
