My kids were really impressed with the size of these trees.  I'm sure some of y'all are familiar with that Bald Cypress.

This stand is terrific.  It makes photographing the trees a little difficult, but viewing, especially in the space of the garden, it fills space very well.

I have a new appreciation for the Mt. Mitchell landscape after being at the peak of Mt. Mitchell myself a few years ago.  (I believe I've posted about it some time before.)

You have done a lot of work and a great service posting these photos.  I will have to enjoy them in detail more tomorrow.  What is the tree in post 38?  Crape myrtle?  Thank you! Amazing looking show.  ( I do like the tea house, but not the leaves...)
