Bonsai in the bluegrass Show photos
« on: July 27, 2011, 09:39 PM »
Here are some photos from the Bonsai in the Bluegrass ABS/BCI Symposium from last month. It was great show but I only took a few pictures unfortunately. I think my excitement made me forget to get more shots of the displays. Here is what I have though. Hope you like them. Also I apologize if some of the trees are a little cropped, it was tight quarters and I didn't have a wider angle lens.

One more. I also have some shots of suiseki from the show but I wasn't sure if I should post them here. If someone wants to see them or is it's ok by the moderators just let me know.

Thanks for posting these, Jim! Some fine trees, and especially enjoyable for those of us who couldn't go for one reason or another.

I'm guessing that both the ponderosas in your pics are collected trees. Someone did a good job of "listening to the tree" when styling each of them.

Here are a few of the suiseki and one of the kusamono.  There was great collection of them at the show as well.
