Lots of trees could work, first flash to my mind was a red chojubai flowering quince. Any of the crab apples, especially in fruit. if it were a shallow pot, one of the red or brightly colored in autumn japanese maples would work. Reds, purples and yellows would stand out against this glaze. It would also pick up and accent bluish tints to foliage. So a glaucus leaved tree, could be a stand out. Big Blue-Stem grass, and little Blue-stem would look good against this glaze. I like it.
A bit bright for the subtle trees, but perfect for the more gaudy.

Thanks Leo, I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with me.
You have some very good ideas on how to pair up this glaze with a suitable tree.
I have tested many cone 10, crackle glazes and this one is the best I have seen.
Cheers,
Paul
