Tom,
Here are two from last weekend at the MidAtlantic symposium.

First is a large collected Larch by Karen H. in a large 'Dry Riverbed' pot by me.

Second is an American larch by Dave T. in a pot he had me make for it after it won best in show at MidA a few years ago. BTW, he bought the tree from me in 1999. it was displayed in the hotel lobby in a tokonoma made by Sean Smith.

Here is a shot of my booth at MidA last weekend. I couldn't get back far enough to get it all in. I lost the left side power wood carving tool display.
I was back-to-back with Meco Bonsai

I recently had a commission for a soft-cornered rectangle with drippy ash glaze. I made 4 of various sizes from 7 1/2" inside to 11 1/2" inside. All are similar with the same ash glaze with ash from my fireplace.

Yes John, after I got set up I went in your room, no John. Later Doug Phillips setting up there.  Worked out  ok though, he and wife both bought pots from me :>)
I see you are in Denver. Haven't been there since ABS 97ish?
I SHOULD be at Denver, unless gas gets ridiculous again.

Dale, seriously let me know, I will be driving the F350 across and could pick up a trailer (or bring mine...) and share diesel. I get 15-17 mpg. John

You are a speaker and not flying? You must be getting a booth also?
I'll think about it. For me it's a 2 long day drive with an overnight in Kansas City area. 1,425 miles. My van gets about 14 mpg!! No more $4/gal trips out west.

Here's a pot to keep it legal :>)

Your pots are incredible, Dale. I saw your booth at the 2008 ABS in San Antonio, but spent my budget on seminars and a huge mica pot I needed for a ficus, ( not from your booth). Will not make that mistake again if the opportunity arises. I too am not up for making a 1,000 plus mile trip.  Larry

Dale, Love the pot. Does it have a home? I am taking my workshop trees with me, 20 or so JBP ready for the workshop (lots of prep.....). Let me know, John

John,
Perhaps we could work it out. I'd certainly like to knock a bunch off my travel expenses.
We'll talk.
Is this area of Ohio much out of the way for your path from Rhode Island.  In going to Denver I found Rt.70 to be infinitely better than Rt. 80 across. did both ways, 80 costs more in tolls and takes longer although mileage is less.

Above in post #47 I showed some choices of pots I made for a commissioned job.
It went to a Denver customer who selected it at BCI Louisville, Ky and potted it up and sent me a pic of his Colorado Blue Spruce in it.
I'd like to get the contrast/color a bit better but my photo program won't allow me to do it on this one for some reason.
