New Antique Chinese Pot
« on: September 23, 2011, 10:33 PM »
I was very excited to get this in the mail a few days ago.  Old Chinese pot, use to be red clay, I really like how it darkened up over the years.

Yenling, where are you from again?  (Could you update your profile?)

That looks like a nice pot.  Do you have any near-term plans for it?

No I don't have a tree in mind.  But I am trying to build a collection of nice pots while I build my collection of collected material, so i'm all set up for years down the road.

yenling: If you like pots and you live in Nipomo, check out the emperor pot George Muranaka has. Its an old beatiful pot that has something to do with the emperor of Japan. I believe it was George's father's pot. Tell him its the one he is supposed to sell to Elliott for 30 bucks. He will get a kick out of that.
Also, Ann erb lives in Nipomo as you probably know. I got her to do a demo for my Bonsai club-Sansui Kai wed nite and she mentioned she likes to collect pots. See if you can check out her collection.
I have recently really started loving the pots and apreciating the old patina they get.
