Title: Id Chops on new New Pots
Post by: JRob on March 11, 2013, 09:52 PM
Good Evening All,

I have not had time to do the research yet so I was wondering if anyone recognizes the chops on these new pots I purchased?

Thanks All,

JRob

Spent a little time researching the chops at lunch today on these two Tokoname pots. I believe that the second chop is from  Kaizen, perhaps Mr. Hisada Shizou.

Still working on the first.

The first is Seibun, Tokoname.  The second is indeed Keizan, good eye.

Thanks Ryan. Your site is always so helpful. I identified the Seibun last night from using your database but you beat me to the post. I'd be lost without your extensive base. I also purchased several Youzan - Shimizu Masakazu shohin pots this spring and know only have one tokoname left to identify which I'll work on tonight or over the weekend. Love pots almost as much as the trees.

The finally pot to I.D. turned out to be a Tokoname Yamaaki - Kataoka Toshio.
