Ichinokura Sekisyu (ryuho) can it be?
« on: March 13, 2012, 08:10 PM »
Picked up this small pot this weekend. After reviewing the Japanese Bonsai Pot Blog's excellent database of chops and marks can this be from Ichinokura Sekisyo commercial line Ryuho. I was told that the pot was bought in Japan between 35-40 years ago. See the databases potter's marks. The two characters to the right of the chop match the characters on my pot. Either way its a lovely unglazed pot that I have a small kotobuki JBP that I would like to use it for my display at Shohin ST. Louis 2013.

Yep, that's Ryuho.  Depending on whether there's a light pear skin to the clay or not, it's worth 8-15,000¥, or 100-200$.
