Title: Spiral orchid
Post by: MatsuBonsai on July 28, 2009, 06:22 PM
I got this one from Boon last fall.  Google seems to think it might also be called "Lady's Tresses Orchid".  If anyone has any info I would be appreciate it.

I missed taking a photo during the height of bloom and had some trouble getting a close-up.  I'll try again later with a steady hand.

I got one from Boon a couple of years ago.  Came off a really nice pine I was working on.  Looked like heck last winter but perked up nicely and bloomed again this year.  Has a nice fragrance also.  I have some pictures but they are on the other computer in Oklahoma.

This is a beautiful orchid very unusual.  Is this a winter hardy variety?  I'd love to own one.
