'Ohelo Berry, endemic to Hawai'i. And resurrection plant, Vaccinium reticulatum. Known locally as Iwa Matsu.

Love this display. Sweet.

The tropical members of the blueberry family are fascinating. Have a tropical Thai species of Vaccinium in the mail, just ordered the other day. If it looks okay will post about it eventually. Are the berries tasty? I assume they are edible, but not all edibles are tasty.

Neat material, and the choice of fern is excellent and well matched.

Thanks Leo. The berries aren't very sweet, sort of like cranberries. But they make nice preserves and are a big deal being endemic and all. And the Nene like them. (State bird)
