Title: Another succulent
Post by: Jeff Lahr on October 09, 2009, 09:34 PM
Here's another succulent. This one, from South Africa, is called Lithops, Greek for "Stone-like". It's sometimes called pebble plant. They seem to keep finding new species of these the latest being in 2006 (L. amicorum). This is my kind of plant, it takes no water, just well draining soil. I was surprised by this bloom yesterday.

I'll second that. I can't recall ever seeing one bloom before. Nice work.

These have gotten quite popular at the local big box store.

Any other flowers?
